Legacy Dinner Event
You are cordially invited to attend the Kettering Parks Foundation, Legacy Dinner, A Celebration of Tradition on Saturday June 25, 2011 from 6:00 – 10:00 pm at the renovated Kettering Recreation Complex.
Since 1966, the contributions our employees have made to the Kettering Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department have been invaluable. This event is to recognize your contributions to the department’s success over the past 45 years.
In conjunction with the dinner, the Kettering Parks Foundation will be launching the Reach For The Sky fund raising campaign (more information available here) to generate a permanent fund to sustain our financial assistance program into the future. Over the past 5 years, there has been a significant increase in demand for financial assistance scholarships. The Foundation has awarded nearly 400 scholarships totaling more than $47,000. The scholarships have touched many lives in the Kettering and allowed children to make new friends at summer camp, transport seniors to vital appointments and provide residents with fitness passes for improved lifestyle changes. These are only a few of the incredible contributions the scholarship funds have provided to the community.
We will be asking you to support the campaign, through a specially designed Legacy Gift. The Legacy Dinner will be the official community kick off for the fund raising campaign. Our goal is to raise $115,000 by December 2012. You will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of residents of all ages through your gift.
